Returning to the old disputes of him, when West tried to run for president, Legend did not support Kanye and openly extended his vote for Joe Biden.
In a recent conversation with the New Yorker, by people, Legend made reference to his old interview in which he explained that his relationship with West became sour due to his political differences. Now, Legend is reformulating his words while explaining the real meaning behind his statement then. The 43 -year -old singer said: "Yes, what was described as it was, we stopped being friends because he supported [Donald] Trump, which was an erroneous characterization of what I said." He added: "That was the version of Rupert Murdoch of history: it was throughout the New York Post and Fox News."
The legend then clarified: "What he was saying was that he was very upset with me that he did not support him to run for president, and that was the real impulse for us to have a tension in our friendship." While talking about his friendship now after spending time, Legend said the ball is on West's court at that time, "I don't know what will happen in the future, but I was very upset with me that I did not support him and I supported Joe Biden. It depends on him if he can overcome that. " The legend also added that although it does not believe that political preferences should be final in a friendship, "believes that certain things you think are indicators of your character, and obviously that will affect your friends."
