According to George R.R. Martin, the creator of fantasy novels, the sequel to Game of Thrones, starring Kit Harington playing Jon Snow, will be named after him. Martin.

Martin posted on his blog Thursday that a Jon Snow show was in development. "Our working title is SNOW.

The author of the blockbuster, on whose books it was based, shared some details about the series in a blog entry. It seems that the series is much closer than we thought.

Martin shared the following: Reiterating the statement of Emilia Clarke, Martin said that Harington was the one who suggested the new series.

Time magazine called Snow the "American Tolkien" scribe.

Martin wrote, "Yes, Kit Harrington (sic), brought the idea to our attention," Martin said. Martin is self-described as "way too busy". "I can't give you names of the showrunners/writers since it hasn't been released yet... but Kit brought them in, his own team and they are fantastic."

Martin stated that SNOW was in development for almost the same time as the others, but it was never officially announced and has not leaked to the public.

The three previously announced 'Game Of Thrones" spinoffs are the Amanda Segal-directed 10,000 Ships, 9 Voyages aka Sea Snake by Bruno Heller, and the Steve Conrad-penned Dunk and Egg prequel Series entitled either The Hedge Knight oder Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.

The premiere of the first prequel series, 'House of the Dragon' stars Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke and Steve Toussaint. It will air August 21.
